What is Microsoft Engage?

Engage 2021 is a 3 week long (Nov 8th to Nov 26th 2021) mentorship program for Final Year Engineering students graduating in 2022 across India to learn and upskill by getting mentored through Software Engineers at Microsoft. It is a program that is specially curated for tech enthusiasts to accelerate their growth and foster their industry-relevant skills for success.

Who can apply for the program?

There are specific timelines followed for the engage program to be held for the Final Year and Pre Final Year Engineering Students.

The opening I had applied for had the eligibility criteria for the batch of 2022 Indian Students with a CGPA of 7.5 or above.

What to expect from this blog?

I will initially share about the shortlisting process, online coding round that I have completed. The next learnings and experiences, I would be happy to share as and how I go through the program and thus document the journey.

I had applied on the career portal of Microsoft. The recruiting team informed me about my resume being shortlisted for the further process.

Note: I got the mail for my profile being shortlisted without a referral, however, many Microsoft employees on LinkedIn had supportingly come forward to give a referral for the same.

I was assigned a slot for the online coding round which consisted of 2 coding questions with medium to hard difficulty. I was able to come with a solution for both the coding questions that passed their testcases in the alloted time

After the completion of the coding round, 3 days later, I was informed that I have been selected into the program.
